See the CS 2200 in action
A short walkthrough from Carestream showing the unit's workflow, timer interface and image quality.
Built for daily clinical use
The CS 2200 is Carestream's premium 2D intraoral system — engineered and manufactured end-to-end by the only dental company that makes its own X-ray generators.
Up to 30% less radiation
The CS 2200 automatically determines the optimal dose and maximises useful X-rays — a safer exposure for patients and staff than conventional generators.
Intuitive handheld timer
Pre-programmed settings for patient type, receptor and tooth position. Your whole team can acquire consistent images without fiddling with exposure values.
Sharp, diagnostic images
A 0.7 mm focal spot and 300 kHz high-frequency DC generator deliver the sharp, detailed images your diagnosis depends on — film or digital.
60 or 70 kV tension
Switch between 60 kV for high-contrast endodontic images and 70 kV for periodontal work with wider grey-scale latitude. One unit, two diagnostic tools.
Works with what you own
Fully compatible with film, phosphor plates and digital sensors — including Carestream RVG, DEXIS and most other mainstream brands. No forced upgrades.
Fits any surgery
Wall, ceiling, mobile or floor-column mounting. Choose short, standard or long arm to reach across the chair — your install engineer will spec it with you.
Replacing a Trophy Irix?
The CS 2200 wall mount is purpose-designed as a drop-in replacement for the Trophy Irix — same footprint, minimal disruption to your surgery. Tell us your current setup when you enquire and we'll confirm the fit.
Configure your CS 2200
Pick your arm length, add optional extras and tell us when you'd like it installed. We'll confirm availability within one working day and handle delivery, install, training and critical exam.
Why installation is included
Carestream's warranty requires the unit to be installed by a trained distributor engineer. If a local engineer installs it and something goes wrong, the warranty is void — and you're on your own. We include installation and critical exam in every quote so the machine is warrantied, compliant and working properly from day one.

- Wall-mounted scissor arm in your chosen length

Frequently asked questions
Why is installation mandatory?
Carestream's 2-year warranty is only valid if the unit is installed by a trained distributor engineer. If a local engineer installs it and something goes wrong, the warranty is void and any fault becomes your cost. Our installation fee covers proper setup, calibration and a critical exam that meets IRR17 compliance — you're buying peace of mind, not just a box on the wall.
What's a critical exam and why do I need one?
A critical examination is a legal requirement under IRR17 before a new X-ray unit is put into clinical use. It confirms the equipment meets safety standards, radiation output is correct, and all safety features work as intended. It has to be carried out by a qualified person — we include it in every CS 2200 quote so you're clinically compliant from day one.
Which arm length should I choose?
Short (170 cm) suits compact surgeries where the chair is close to the mounting wall. Standard (188 cm) works for most UK surgeries. Long (205 cm) is for larger rooms or where the chair sits further from the wall. Our engineer will confirm the right choice during your site survey — if you're not sure, pick Standard and we'll review it with you before installing.
Can the CS 2200 replace our old Trophy Irix?
Yes. The CS 2200 wall mount is specifically designed as a drop-in replacement for the Trophy Irix — same footprint, same fixings, minimal disruption to your surgery. Let us know your current setup when you enquire and we'll confirm the fit before quoting.
Will it work with our existing sensors and software?
The CS 2200 is a standalone X-ray generator — it works with any film, phosphor plate or digital sensor (Carestream RVG, DEXIS, Sopro, Sota, Planmeca and others). Your existing imaging software continues to work exactly as it does now.
How long does installation take?
A standard wall-mount install is typically half a day, including fitting, commissioning, critical exam and team training. We can work around your surgery schedule and, where possible, install outside clinical hours to minimise disruption.
What finance options are available?
We work with three trusted dental finance partners — Bramar, Performance Finance and Aspired Finance. Typical terms are 3–5 years with competitive rates. You'll deal directly with the finance company (no markup from us). Tell us you're interested when you enquire and we'll make the introduction.
What happens after I submit the form?
One of our team will review your configuration and call or email within one working day to confirm install date availability, answer any questions and — if you're happy — send a formal quote. No commitment until you say yes.
