- £1,999 +VAT deposit
- 48 months, then rolling
- Option to buy at the end
Wall-mounted. Zero floor footprint. Installed in a day.
Included in the £499
Every line below is a bill a buyer still has to pay.
When a practice buys a CBCT outright, the purchase price is the start of the spending, not the end of it. Renting from us collapses the whole lot into one figure.

Planned maintenance for the life of the rental. - ✓We keep it working
Parts and labour for the full 48 months. It is our machine, so maintaining it is our job. - ✓Acquisition PC
Specified, supplied and configured by us. - ✓Installation
Wall-mounted and commissioned, usually inside a day. - ✓Team training
On site, with your nurses, on your patients' workflow. - ✓Ongoing 360 support
Remote dial-in and a phone answered by someone who knows the machine. - ✓All fields of view
Up to 12×10 as standard. No paid unlocks, ever. - ✓RealGUIDE™ & AIS software
Full implant planning and STL export, no separate subscription.
The arithmetic
Four scans a month covers it.
At a typical £150 scan fee you clear the monthly rental before you have taken a single implant case. Everything after that is margin you were previously referring away.
(26 working days a month)
Scan-fee example is illustrative. Your own fee, case mix and referral volume will determine your actual return — we will build the numbers with you before you commit to anything.
Tax treatment
Rental payments are fully deductible. Every year, not just once.
Rentals are a trading expense, so the whole payment comes off your taxable profit across the term. That is £5,988 of deduction a year — and, unlike a capital purchase, you do not need a big profit year to use it.
What £499 a month actually costs you after relief:
| Your position | Rate | Real cost per month |
|---|---|---|
| Limited company — small profits | 19% | £404 |
| Limited company — main rate | 25% | £374 |
| Limited company — marginal band | 26.5% | £367 |
| Higher-rate sole trader or partner | 40% | £299 |
| Additional-rate sole trader or partner | 45% | £274 |
Two things worth knowing
The writing down allowance was cut in April 2026. Relief on a purchased machine that falls into the main pool now unwinds at 14% a year rather than 18%. If your Annual Investment Allowance is already committed elsewhere — a refit, a squat, another purchase in the same year — tax relief on buying takes considerably longer to arrive than it used to. Rental relief lands in the year you pay it, every year, regardless.
Dental treatment is VAT exempt, so most practices cannot reclaim the VAT. On an outright purchase that VAT is a real, unrecoverable cost paid in a single hit on day one. On a rental the same VAT is spread across 48 payments instead.
Tax treatment depends on your own circumstances and on how the agreement is classified. The figures above are illustrative and are not tax advice — please confirm the position with your accountant before you rely on it. Rates quoted are those applying for the 2026/27 year.
Rent or buy
The honest comparison.
Buying is the right answer for some practices. Here is how the two actually differ, so you can decide rather than be sold to.
Renting from 360 Visualise
- £1,999 +VAT out, then a fixed £499 +VAT a month
- Servicing and repairs included for the whole 48 months
- No interest charged — and no rate to be reviewed
- Payments fully deductible in the year you make them
- VAT spread across the term, not paid in one hit
- Hand it back, keep going monthly, upgrade or buy it at 48 months
- Obsolescence is our problem, not yours
Buying outright or on finance
- Large capital sum, or a finance agreement priced at today's rates
- Two-year manufacturer warranty, then you buy cover
- Interest paid on top across the term
- Relief via AIA if you have headroom, otherwise 14% a year
- Full VAT payable up front and largely unrecoverable
- You own an asset — and you own its depreciation
- Upgrading in five years means selling it yourself
If you would rather not pay interest
There is no interest in this arrangement. Not a low rate — none. You are not borrowing money and paying a charge on top of it. You are paying rent for the use of a machine that belongs to us, that we own outright, service and keep working for the whole term.
For some practices that is a matter of cash flow. For others it is a matter of principle, and we understand that the difference between rent and interest is not a technicality.
Either way, we will send you the full agreement before you commit to anything, so that you — or whoever you take advice from — can read exactly how it is structured rather than taking our word for it. Ask for it on the first call and we will email it the same day.
The machine
An implant workhorse, not an entry-level unit.
The Acteon Optima is a 3-in-1 pan, CBCT and optional ceph system. Every field of view is included as standard, so the machine you rent on day one is the machine you have on day 1,460.
How it works
Four steps, and one of them is us doing the paperwork.
A conversation
We look at your room, your case mix and your referral spend, and tell you honestly whether this stacks up for you.
Site survey
We check the wall, the power and the layout, and handle the critical examination and IRR17 paperwork.
Install and train
Usually a single day on site. Your team is scanning before we leave.
Month 48
Hand it back, carry on month to month, upgrade to a newer unit, or buy the machine outright. Your choice, not ours.
Questions
The things people actually ask.
What happens after the 48 months?
It moves to a rolling monthly arrangement, so you are never locked in again. From that point you can hand the machine back, keep renting month to month, upgrade to a newer unit, or buy it outright. We will give you the purchase figure in writing before you sign anything.
Can the monthly price go up?
No. £499 +VAT is fixed for the full 48 months, whatever happens to interest rates in the meantime. There is no rate review, no RPI uplift and no separate service invoice arriving in year three.
Is servicing really included, or is it a basic plan?
It is included in full — planned maintenance, parts and labour, for the whole term. If the machine needs an engineer, you call us and we come. There is nothing extra to buy.
What happens if it breaks in year four?
You call us and we fix it. The machine is ours for the whole rental, so keeping it running is our responsibility from the first month to the last — parts, labour and engineer visits included. There is no point in the term where that changes, and nothing for you to extend or renew.
Is there really no interest, or is it built into the rent?
There is no interest, and it is not hidden in the figure. Interest is a charge for the use of money — you borrow a sum and pay back more. That is not what is happening here. We own the scanner, and you pay us rent for using it, in the same way you pay rent for a room. The £499 buys you the use of the machine and everything that keeps it running. Ask us for the full agreement and read how it is written.
Do I need a credit check or a finance application?
This is a rental agreement with 360 Visualise, not a third-party finance product. The process is far lighter than a finance application, and there is no interest charged at any point.
What if I want to own the machine?
You can buy it at the end of the 48 months. If you would rather own it from the start, we sell the Optima outright and through Bramar, Performance Finance and Aspired Finance — just ask and we will quote both ways so you can compare properly.
Who handles the regulatory side?
We do. Critical examination, acceptance testing and the IRR17 documentation are part of the installation. You will not be chasing a physicist.
How quickly can it be in?
Subject to stock and your room being ready, typically a few weeks from the survey. Installation itself is usually a single day.
