How to do the monthly QA test on a Carestream CS 8200 3D
A regular quality assurance (QA) test shows your CBCT is still producing accurate images. This 5-minute video walks your team through it, using the 360 Visualise QA test object supplied with your scanner.
- PreparePower on the CS 8200. Place the QA test object on the bite block, centred and stable. Clear the room.
- Set up the scanOpen the acquisition software and choose the QA protocol, usually a high-resolution scan. Make sure the field of view covers the whole test object.
- Take the scanStart the exposure from behind your protection and let it finish without interruption.
- Check the imageLook at uniformity, resolution, noise, geometric distortion and contrast on the test object.
- Record the resultLog the date, time, settings and anything unusual in your QA record.
- Act on problemsIf anything looks wrong, call us on 01943 601222 before you scan patients.
