On most phosphor plate systems, someone has to tell the scanner whose image is coming next. In a busy practice that is where mix-ups happen: plates queue up, get scanned out of order and land in the wrong file.
Carestream Smart Plates carry an electronic chip. You tag the plate at the chairside before the exposure. When it reaches the CS 7600, the scanner reads the chip and sends the image to the right patient on the right workstation, whatever order the plates arrive in.

How does remote installation work?
We ship the CS 7600 to your practice. You unbox it and connect power and a network cable. Our team then logs in remotely to install CS Imaging and set up image routing to each workstation.
CS 7600 or Acteon PSPIX2?
The CS 7600 is a central scanner shared across a busy practice. The Acteon PSPIX2 is a personal chairside scanner for one surgery. Both give excellent images, so the choice comes down to your practice layout and how many rooms need to scan.
