The 360 Implant Academy.
Plan it. Print it. Place it.
Two days, hands-on. Plan a real implant case in SMOP. Print your own surgical guide. Place an implant on the model you'll take home. Hosted at our Yorkshire HQ with dinner in The Green Room.
Octagon House, Yorkshire.
Our dedicated education facility in Sandbeds, West Yorkshire — purpose-built for hands-on clinical training. Free parking, on-site catering, and The Green Room for Friday dinner.
How the two days are structured.
A full hands-on workflow. Start with a real CBCT dataset on Friday morning. Place an implant on your own printed model by Saturday afternoon.
Part 1 — Plan it.
Why guided matters. Live SMOP planning demo led by our clinical team. Each delegate plans their own anonymised case end-to-end with one-on-one support. By 5pm, your file is queued for overnight printing.
The Green Room — dinner with the team.
On-site at Octagon House. Drinks, food, and conversation with your trainers and the 360 team. Your guides print overnight.
Part 2 — Print it. Place it.
Receive the surgical guide printed from your own plan. Trial fit. Place an implant analogue on your printed model using your guide. Trim and fit a shell temporary. Walk through pricing the service to patients with your trainers before close.
Taught by the lab.
Most courses are taught by clinicians teaching what they think the lab needs. We do the opposite. You're learning from the team who actually design and manufacture the guides, every day, for hundreds of UK dentists. Backed by Ambridge Ceramics — multi-award winning, established 1986, and one of the UK's leading manufacturers of digital surgical guides.
Ollie Ambridge
Ambridge Ceramics · Implant guide specialist
Ollie leads the implant guide workflow at Ambridge Ceramics. Trained in the lab from the ground up, his strength is taking a dentist's plan and turning it into a guide that fits cleanly first time, every time. On Day 1 he walks you through the lab side of the workflow. On Day 2 your printed guide arrives in his hands.
Cameron Kelly
Ambridge Ceramics · Guided surgery lab lead
Cameron's knowledge of the lab side of guided surgery is outstanding. He works with dentists every day to design, manufacture and troubleshoot surgical guides, and he is the technical lead delegates spend the most time with on the course. If your guide doesn't seat or your file won't export, Cameron is the one who fixes it.
Emma Downing
Swissmeda · UK SMOP trainer & service centre lead
Emma has been working with SMOP for eight years, running a Swissmeda UK Service Centre. She joined Swissmeda directly in January 2023, bringing her years of teaching the software to clinicians to the team. She now visits universities, institutes and study clubs on their behalf to introduce delegates to SMOP, alongside assisting with one-to-one training and demonstrations.
